Supply Chain Stakes
Global supply chains are business-oriented and no longer only means-oriented. They shift from a logic of optimization to one of value creation. Supply Chains integrate a certain number of functional fields (storage, management of spare parts, client services, supply systems, transportation) which require performance improvements, crucial elements of the clients’ service requirements. This explains the primary meaning of our slogan, « Performance Builders ». Nonetheless, logistics’ maximum contribution to business goes beyond the point of performance improvement to the creation of value. This means that logistics must support business development :
by introducing technical solutions at the core of new channels of distribution, -
by blocking competitor’s entry into these channels,
by reinforcing client relations, which represent the strongest degree of value-added, by favoring the creation of new, revenue-generating activites through distinctive know-how.
